Ed Hall

Chairman

Ed is a banking and finance partner in the London office of Freeths LLP specialising in real estate finance and corporate banking. He helps lender and corporate clients across a range of jurisdictions and has a wealth of experience in the development finance space for both private and public sector clients.
As a Trustee, he assists Positive View with legal and risk issues and has a passion for travel and photography. He has been involved with Positive View since 2016.

Charles Nancarrow

Treasurer

Charles is a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years’ experience in accounting and auditing. He is currently a director at the UK National Audit Office with a particular focus on performance improvement work with public and third sector bodies. He has worked with a wide variety of organisations such the United Nations, overseas governments, and NGOs on areas such as financial planning and reporting, governance, strategic planning, risk management, procurement, and programme management. Charles is supporting Positive View with finance and accounting issues, is a volunteer in his local South East London community, and is actively involved in the arts in London.

Simon Bainbridge

Brand & Media

Simon Bainbridge is a specialist in contemporary photography, providing advice and consultancy to organisations and individuals. He is also a writer and editor, and the author of Magnum Artists. Until recently, he was the editor of British Journal of Photography and editorial director of 1854 Media. Recent commissions, projects and collaborations include work with Taschen, Anton Corbijn, Laurence King publishing, the International Festival of Fashion, Photography and Fashion accessories at Hyères, the Capa Grand Prize, the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, Creative Review, Middlesex University, University of South Wales, Format Festival, and the RPS.

Tim Beaumont

Risk Management and Strategy

Originally from New Zealand, Tim moved to the UK with his husband in 2013. Tim works as the UK account and delivery manager of a software and service company where he has responsibility for the UK team and clients. Prior to this, he's had a career in operational management, change, and programme management, working with organisations to modernise and transform the way they operate. As a Trustee he assists Positive View with risk management and strategy. Tim has a passion for the arts, and also volunteers with a suicide prevention charity.

Victor Benady

Marketing and PR

Victor has more than 24 years’ experience in digital and strategic marketing and communications. Early in his career, in 1998, he established one of the first, multi-award-winning digital agencies, and more recently was global creative director and on the board of a top 10 global agency. He is also heavily involved in the arts, is a Director at LAPADA and sits on the fundraising committee for the Royal Academy Schools.

Pogus Caesar

Photographer and Artist

Dr Pogus Caesar is a conceptual artist, photographer, archivist, author and curator. He was born in St Kitts, West Indies, and grew up in Birmingham, England. In 2018 Caesar was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Birmingham City University for his outstanding contribution to the visual arts. Considered an important visual record of black history, Caesar’s work has been exhibited widely including TATE Britain and Institute of Contemporary Arts, London. His photographs and artworks have been acquired by National Gallery of Art, Washington, USA, National Portrait Gallery, Victoria & Albert Museum, Mappin Art Gallery, Leicester Museum & Art Gallery, Wolverhampton Art Gallery, Martin Parr Foundation and Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery. In 2004, he established OOM Gallery Archive in Birmingham, which represents his photographic archive worldwide.

Karan Daswani

Strategy and Corporate Development

Karan is a Partner at Vengrove with over 15 years’ experience in real estate investment management. He oversees all third-party financing, structuring and group reporting functions. He has worked with a number of organisations such as Moor Park Capital Partners and Citigroup in areas that include social housing, industrial / logistics as well as office development. Karan is supporting Positive View with overall strategy and the development of its corporate funding relationships. He also serves as a Trustee Director on the Board of International Students House.

Zak Waters

Programme Development

Zak Waters is a multi-award-winning photographer with over 30 years of experience working for newspapers, charities and within the corporate sector. As a lecturer, he is an award-winning FE course leader in photography. He has exhibited globally, including at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, San Francisco Airport, the Getty Gallery and the Kunsthal, Rotterdam, and has work stored as part of the National Portrait Gallery collection. Recently, Zak has published two books - Birdmen and Life's a Ball 90s - while being featured in the critically acclaimed Hold Still: A Portrait of our Nation in 2020. Additionally, he has published a series of zines and founded CAMERA in 2019. Awards include the UK winner of The Young European Artist, winner of The Royal Photographic Society Terence Donovan Award, Photographer of the Year B&W Photography Magazine and Kent FE Teacher of the Year.
